Our Mission
Our mission is to foster the development of modern quilting and to contribute to the growth of our quilting heritage. We provide opportunities for experienced and novice quilters to learn the techniques, patterns and aesthetics which are particular to modern quilting. Education and support will be provided through fellowship, challenges, workshops and community outreach.Uniqueness is Powerful
The Montreal MQG is committed to creating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness. We learn and grow best as modern quilters when we draw on the differences in who we are, how we think, and what we've experienced. We stay true to this commitment by welcoming all members regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, lifestyle, age, educational background, national origin, religion or physical ability and providing an environment that is free of discrimination of all types, and free of abusive, offensive, or harassing behaviours. Please note that any exclusions from this list were not intentional - if there is another factor of diversity that you wish to see reflected above, please contact us at mtlmqg@gmail.com.
